My Poems

My Most Recent Poems.

A quiet day!

The rain falls on sidewalk below me,

I sit in silence watching everything,

It spins away from me—

 the world I cannot see.

The dripping of rain drops slide down the window.

I see a world drowning in rain, it bends away under the weight.

The walls stare blankly back at me.

I rest for the slow passage of the day’s rains down.

The passing people walk quickly by to do,

 they don’t look up.

I reflect how empty my place seems as there no one here.

The outside spins with active motion.

I only hear my inner voice telling me, be calm.

The rain pours down as it beats on the people,

They run only move faster than I.

I patiently wait, breath in, say a prayer.

The chaos can only control me as much as

I want it too.

I close my eyes today a quiet day.

The rain drips down the windows washes it away.

Falling Leaves

Autumn leaves

                          Fall and Fall decline

Bare branches shade

                          Cold pathways.

The wind cuts the night sky,

                          Cutting me into pieces.

Little left now.

                          Where to go now?

A moment ages.

                          An hour passes a decade,

and the Landscape sweeps bare

                          Hopes and dreams die

Loses years that can never—

                                       Be found again.

Direction can only come once;

It passes like the seasons.

Ballad

The leaves fall, and bare branches, bony arms,

Across the dark sky, shine in the moonlight.

The branches reach like children’s outreaching arms;

Winds stir the spirits in the sailing moon.

The dogs growl at the passing ghost’s presence.

Ships pass in the night in the sea of charms.

Fragment

Hand me the soldier who is ugly and unfit

With his hands on his hips.

Give him a swordsman brave design him

The battle’s gain by Zeus, wins

Cheer winners by Nike now you’re a man so young.

We know your wisdom.

Homer never song them better than you,

And Aristophanes, who was left tasting the poor

Starving for his misery of himself, by being away in battle.

Well, dear unfaithful, and has just as his last meal.

Undo me for my speech: Snag a feline instead,

And scream at him meowing.
