-My Imagination Takes Me Places-

 My imagination takes me places; I have not been before.

 The tales I read speak to me of truth and wisdom throughout;

 I find images rich in color and words truly pure.

 I can see a world of words where our truth comes about.

The pages slide through my fingers while my mind buzzes.

The internal world of my inner thoughts spins me away far away.

 My fantasies consume me while the reality of the day’s hours rushes.

My thoughts are spinning inward and outward, gliding by.

 The phase balance depends on other words, like simple crosswords.

 My feet glide over the path as my intellect wanders thoroughly away.

 “I wandered lonely as a cloud,” I recall Wordsworth’s artful and insightful words.

“I learn by going where I have to go.” The lines of Roethke I remember.

 My imagination teems with imagery of a universe, one unimagined yet.

 My books take me places; I might tell you some September when we meet.
